Test and demonstration that works!
Technology verification (Environmental Technology Verification, ETV) can show that a (new) product comes up to the specifications given by the producer:
"Environmental technology that works as promised"
Technology verification is carried out by independent verification centre and delivers comparable and reliable data for performance of the technologies. Through ETV we will be sure that the society invests in technologies that work when we talk about reduction, adaptation and monitoring of climate changes.
Investments in new and innovative technologies involve risks and perhaps resistance. The risks can be reduced when the buyer have independent documentation on the efficiency of the products. Through verification producers can prove the efficiency of their products and increase the share of the market. The independent documentation on efficiency, which the verification gives, is considerably useful for innovative companies that market new products and try to be established on new markets.
ExampleTwo natur gas based turbins for combined production of electricity and heat were tested within the American ETV-system. Results from the test: | |||
|---|---|---|---|

Energy production |

(kg/kW hour |
Turbine A |

0,81 |
Turbine B |

0,70 |
The results give the buyer an opportunity to choose that product with the smallest influence on the climate. The company delivering turbine B has the best performance data, less influence on climate changes (CO2 production) and better energy utilization than the competitor. |
